Meet The owner and your Faciliator in Healing:
Karla Nieves
Massage Therapist &
Functional Personal Trainer
My passion and drive come from an accident I had over 12 years ago. I fractured my skull and was in a coma for a week. When I woke up I was told I would have a speech impairment and would not be able to walk well because of the part of the brain I hit. I told the doctor, "No, that isn't my ending." I got my life back. I learned through fear, doubt, and pain what my body could overcome. I went to school and dived deep into understanding the human body both psychically and emotionally. I am still a student learning Tradition Chinese Medicine to be able to do more for myself and my family and for my clients. I have been blessed to be able to help transform many people's lives and will continue to improve myself to be the best for you. I offer the basic modalities such as Deep tissue and Swedish massage, however, I specialize in intensive deep tissue which is diving deeper into the emotions that is causing the tightness. I specialize in Thai Massage, releasing the belly of the muscle from its orgin and insertion point. I special in Cupping, releasing tightness in minutes and gaining instant range of motion. I specialize in Functional Personal Training. I get to work your body with your limitations and show you how strong or flexible you can be with the right training. I am here to help you be in charge of your body, reprogram the muscles to do the right movement.

It can help with
Digestion
Massage can be incredibly beneficial for digestion. Techniques like Thai massage incorporate acupressure, gentle stretching, and abdominal manipulation, targeting specific pressure points and meridians connected to the digestive system. This helps alleviate tension, improve blood flow to digestive organs, and stimulate their activity. Additionally, massage induces ease, reducing stress that often hampers digestion. By promoting better circulation, relieving abdominal tightness, and supporting the lymphatic system's detoxification processes, massage plays a role in fostering smoother, more efficient digestion and overall digestive health.
Fatigue
Massage therapy has long been recognized for its profound benefits in combating fatigue. Through the skilled manipulation of muscles and tissues, massage promotes ease and reduces tension, helping to alleviate physical and mental fatigue. The gentle kneading and stroking actions of massage improve blood flow, delivering vital oxygen and nutrients to tired muscles and organs. Furthermore, it triggers the release of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers and mood elevators, creating a sense of rejuvenation and overall well-being. Whether it's a Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, or another modality, a well-executed massage can be a powerful tool for combating fatigue and promoting a renewed sense of vitality.
Pain Management
Massage promotes the release of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers, providing immediate relief and enhancing one's overall sense of well-being. Furthermore, it enhances blood circulation and oxygen flow to sore muscles, facilitating the healing process. Regular massage sessions can play a crucial role in managing and preventing chronic pain, improving mobility, and enhancing the quality of life for those dealing with discomfort or pain-related conditions.
Stress
Research has shown that it can lower your heart rate and blood pressure, allow ease in your muscles and increase the production of endorphins, your body's natural "feel good" chemical. Serotonin and dopamine are also released through massage, and the result is a feeling of calm that makes chronic or habitual as well as acute or short-term stress much easier to overcome. In fact, stress relief is one of the first benefits that come to mind when thinking of massage therapy. It's also a key component for anyone trying to achieve a healthier lifestyle. Clinical studies show that even a single 1 ½-hour session can significantly lower your heart rate, cortisol levels and insulin levels -- all of which explain why massage therapy and stress relief go hand-in-hand.
Mobility
Massage therapy is a beneficial treatment for maintaining and improving flexibility and motion. By working on muscles, connective tissues, tendons, ligaments, and joints, regular massage can improve your flexibility and range of motion, keeping your joints more fluid and making them less injury prone.Increased mobility is especially beneficial for individuals dealing with conditions like arthritis, sports injuries, or post-surgery rehabilitation, as it aids in reducing stiffness and promoting faster recovery.
Reduces Inflammation
the improved circulation resulting from massage enhances the flow of white blood cells and lymphatic fluid, contributing to a more efficient immune system. This heightened immune function can help the body better defend against infections and illnesses. Regular massage sessions can be a proactive step towards maintaining a robust immune system, ensuring that the body is better equipped to ward off pathogens and stay in optimal health.
